Corian is made from an acrylic resin and can be worked with standard wood working tools. Carbide-tipped tools are best, but this is a steel chisel marks Corian solid surface material countertop. You do not need a diamond blade and a cup of low quality when it tries to use them. If you edgewhere a rough cut can use sandpaper to clean. You can also create a router on the edges and put a profile on you. If you the ability to deal with the woodworking tools have, there is no reason to not cut the Corian, but I would use it to learn to use tools.
